So we wake up at 4.00 a.m. and outside there’s a thunderstorm, just to make things easier: you know, after a four hours sleep and with all our luggage, a heavy rain is all we need. We say goodbye to our families and at Linate airport we find two friends of ours waiting to depart for St. Petersburg, a place that sooner or later we’ll visit. Our flights is on time and everything goes smoothly, both our planes are all right, the food is good and there’s plenty of it, the movie collection is big and up to date. At Heathrow, Paolo commits one terrible mistake, that will cause him to be mistaken for a terrorist: he took a picture of the security controls, and a very nice lady rushed towards him shouting to immediately delete that picture.UUh! During our flight over the Atlantic Ocean, Paolo manages to sleep, while Diego’s eyes are very dry because of the air conditioner, so he watches some Titanic scenes to resolve the problem. Once we land, we go through American security checks (again) and the ridiculous and a bit indiscreet interogatories.
